DESCRIPTION

A spirit level is a tool generally made of metal, which has a completely flat surface and includes one- or two-colored tubes each containing a liquid and an air bubble. It is this air bubble, trapped in the liquid, which will allow us to carry out the measurements. This measurement is based on the physical principle of Archimedes' thrust, which means that the bubble will always tend to rise in the direction of the slope. So, for the bubble to be perfectly aligned between the marks made on the tube, the tube must be completely horizontal.
