A sufficient level of oxygen in the aquarium water is vital for its inhabitants. Plants produce oxygen during the day, but at night – when there is no light – they consume it too. This can lead to a critical lack of oxygen in the aquarium water, so it is important to aerate the aquarium with an air pump, particularly at night. The Tetra AirSilent Mini air pump has been specially developed for aquariums in living rooms and bedrooms with a low noise level of 34 dB. This is equivalent to a faint whisper and is made possible by the piezoelectric effect. This effect also ensures that the Tetra AirSilent Mini air pump consumes very little energy. Its small size means that the air pump is easy to hide. The practical suction cup can be used to attach it to the aquarium and prevents the transmission of vibrations. The Tetra AirSilent Mini air pump is suitable for aquariums of 10 to 40 litres in size.
