The high-performance aquarium filter Tetra FilterJet is suitable for aquariums with a volume of 50 – 230l and cleans them particularly thoroughly thanks to the combination of mechanical and biological filtration. In this way, both coarse and fine dirt particles are removed from the aquarium water and at the same time enable the biological balance required for an intact aquarium. The mechanical filtration cleans the water from coarse pollution, e.g. sludge from substrate can be sucked in, and suspended particles such as algae and dead plant parts. More important, however, is the task of the nitrifying filter bacteria. The helpful bacteria settle on the substrates of the filter and break down harmful ammonia and nitrite into nitrate. This is part of the biological filtration and natural degradation process within the aquariums. In addition, the internal filter convinces with quiet operation. Thanks to its easy installation, the Tetra FilterJet is up and running in a matter of seconds. The adjustable outlet nozzle allows optimal control of water circulation to aerate the entire aquarium evenly. Another advantage of the Tetra FilterJet aquarium internal filter is the uncomplicated cleaning of the filter sponge. This significantly reduces the maintenance time of the filter. The filter material should not be cleaned with hot water. This would harm the beneficial filter bacteria that settle in the filter. Likewise, under no circumstances should chemical agents be used during cleaning. In order to protect the population of filter bacteria in the long term, it is recommended not to carry out the filter cleaning and the partial water change at the same time.
